Mr. Keith J. Nelsen has been General Counsel and Secretary of Best Buy Co., Inc. since May 2011 and June 2011 respectively. Mr. Nelsen served as Executive Vice President at Best Buy Co., Inc. since May 2011. Mr. Nelsen served as Chief Risk Officer at Best Buy Co., Inc. from March 2012 to 2013. He served as Senior Vice President of Commercial and International General Counsel of Best Buy International at Best Buy Co., Inc. from September 2008 to May 2011. Mr. Nelsen managed Best Buy's global legal responsibilities, including the oversight of its international transactions and local law compliance. He also managed Best Buy's equity-related investment on a global basis, providing assessment, financial analysis, strategic rationale and recommendations of equity investment opportunities; management of external advisors, including Investment bankers; and end-to-end deal responsibility. Mr. Nelsen joined Best Buy in 2006 as Vice President, Operations and International General Counsel. He served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Danka Business Systems PLC from June 2000 to September 15, 2006 and Chief Administrative Officer from January 2003 to September 15, 2006, where he worked to maximize growth and profitability in more than 20 countries. He had been responsible for worldwide legal operations, real estate and risk management and oversaw the human resources function at Danka. From 1997 to June 2000, Mr. Nelsen served as Associate General Counsel at Danka. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Vice President of Legal and Associate General Counsel at Nordic Track, Inc. He started his career in 1989 as a Practicing Attorney with Best and Flanagan, LLP. He has been a Director at Best Buy Distributions Limited since August 16, 2010. Mr. Nelsen received his juris doctor from the University of Wisconsin and graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelors degree in finance.
