I came to BILL for the opportunity. I stayed for the people and the culture!

The leadership team has done an amazing job of navigating the company through the pandemic and the recent economic slow down. They are visionaries and focus on our next goal to hit.
Leadership is approachable and engage in silliness to connect with employees. Skits, wigs, costumes. You can basically message anyone at any time. Decisions are made top-down, which is good for clarity but bad for including individual contributor recommendations.
Dedicated, passionate, humble, authentic, fun people!

Authentic, Passionate, Transparent and Smart
Transparency, approachability, warmth. It feels like they sincerely care about our customers and our employees.

Commenting on a job well done. We only hear when we do something wrong.

HDHP HSA contributions are good
Paid benefits for the employees. added benefits every year.
I feel I have a very competitive base salary with a generous biannual bonus as well as really great RSU stocks
The medical plan is reasonable for families compared to other companies I have worked at.
They offer access to the Ginger app, which works with our insurance to get us access to 10 therapy sessions a year. Therapy should someday be a part of all health care, but until it is, it's nice that BILL makes this a part of our benefits.
Review from Sales Dept
Bill needs to take a serious look at the compensation they offer. The RSUS are only getting worthless and the pay is based off geographic location.
Stock options are not very generous. Advancement is difficult.
Weak benefits, salary is below industry level, and management refuses to acknowledge those things
Review from Design Dept
Bill.com used to pay very well. They no longer do and no longer give nice incentive raises either.

They are knowledgeable, humble, collaborative, and friendly
The are smart, humble, knowledgeable, and friendly
Great culture and good work life balance
Peers are hit or miss, but mostly excellent. Mostly collaborative, hard working people with only very few self-important jerks. Definitely better than other places I've been.
They are accountable, take ownership for the outcome and are fun to work with
The culture is top down and dismissive of design. That attitude on a higher leadership level permeates through to individual teams. I think individual contributors are just trying to make the best of a difficult situation. I really think that leadership is not treating and its employees well.

My team is amazing

Individuality is welcomed but product team is first
They do a good job helping employees feel valued through our compensation package as well as the great health benefits and the amenities and food at our offices. They do a great job with company swag as well. All employees get $100 a month to spend on anything. Plus free access to Calm and Ginger.
We embrace radical candor and extreme ownership!

People are authentic, collaborative and fun
The sense of trust and safety.
Review from HR Dept
More empowerment and trust in individual teams would make the best devs feel more rewarded and stay longer. Instead, our best talent is most likely to leave. Leadership decisions need to be better communicated as well. Recent reorganizations have have really hurt morale.
Give design a voice and treat design with respect. Let those closest to the situation make the decisions. Leaders who don't have any context or real understanding are making decisions, and poor decisions at that. They are not listening to their teams.

Nothin really everything is nice

All we hear from our director is negative.

Recruiter was really communicative and responsive
I was hired by Divvy and brought through the acquisition. My hiring process was amazing. As an engineer i was given a take home assignment to complete and then had it reviewed at a panel.
Everyone was so friendly, it was like chatting with a group of old friends.
Review from Product Dept
The interview was comfortable and more focused on my experience and what I could bring to the table.
I liked that I got to meet so many people on the team, not just the hiring manager. They wanted to ensure that I was a culture fit since I would be interacting with everyone so much, and I appreciated getting to know the tone of the team as well.

The opportunity to champion small businesses while working with a group of great people!

Helping coworkers and internal client groups.
Review from HR Dept
Management is not just supervising. They are getting in the weeds and helping to make a difference.
I am most happy about the team that I work with. They are friendly, uplifting, and fun. Our managers are part of the team, not set above us. They are as willing to get into the trenches and get things done as we are, leading by example.

Go back to how bill.com was run a few years ago. Now it's a large corporation vibe and the employees are just a number.
Review from Customer Support Dept
The people and the catered lunches, snacks and office amenities, as well as my compensation and benefit package.
employees being hired for their skills and promoted based on performance not on friendship with higher ups
