Q&A With BJ's Restaurants Employees

BJ’s culture has three distinct but complementary pillars: We are an "of service" culture, anchored by solid hospitality and guided by our compass of quality, and coupled with our strong humanistic values of integrity, connection, compassion and care for our guests and for our fellow team members. We are a highly disciplined culture that seeks perfection in terms of consistently delivering a superior dining experience at a solid value for our guests, flawlessly executing every detail in a highly productive and efficient manner on every shift. We are a high performance culture, dedicated to high performance and productivity in all areas of our operations. We will set "reasonable stretch" goals, and focus on delivering results, not reasons. We will never be satisfied with the status quo in any aspect of our business. We will never jeopardize our longer-term future for short-term gain.

Asked to all employees at BJ's Restaurants

  • Laidback, disorganized, and a complete lie. There was so much time waiting. And the manager told me that I would be able to be a server in 2-3 months. I was there for 7 months and was never promoted. I've asked about it to other hosts and service assistants and they were promised the same thing, they were also never promoted.
