How's the vacation policy at Dennys?
My Dennys does not offer paid vacations! I’ve worked for this company for 3 years! And if you take a vacation and when you come back your hours are cut.
Horrible. No Holiday pay available and you don't get paid vacations
after a year you get a week paid vacation if you have over 32 hours and if you have multiple jobs they go with the one you have the most of they go with the one you have the most of
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Dennys?
Remove the TVs from all Dennys they become a hassle they're too noisy people want them change constantly taking time from the people who don't care about the TVs
Need more labor hours to give great service managers are job coding just to cover all bases not enough labor for guest and cleaning and prepping
The management needs to learn to care more for their employees than they do their customers. Customers get away with degrading employees and management does nothing.
What is Dennys' policy towards pets in the workplace?

They have been allowed at our Denny's but it is not clear if proper documentation has been requested from the dog's owner to allow the dog as an ESA(emotional support animal) on the premises. Personally I remember service dogs helping blind people and were always allowed for the obvious reason to take them pretty much anywhere. However in the present day, it seems like people just want to do whatever they wish. I personally don't find the thought appealing of ANY animals (with the exception of a service dog) in any restaurant. The definition of emotional support animal can cover many conditions for these people whereas the service animal is usually for those with a vision impairment. I do believe a business, restaurant and shop has a right to deny entry to those claiming they have an ESA without providing proper documentation for it. It's about accountability.

Our crew we all work very well together we've been working together for many years
The people I work with are awesome!! The food is excellent and it's within walking distance to my home. Just being there makes me feel Happy

Honestly, in my honest opinion, for me it does get a little tiring after being there for almost 14years

Depends on the situation at hand. It could be great or not depending on on you treat the managers

No on the drug testing. As for a background check, i am not too sure
no they don't do background checks or drug test and they think they really should because the turnover rate is really horrible due to drugs and alcohol in jail time and anything on that lines

Verywe always try and find out what day's work better for other people that way everybody shows up on time and is ready to work
