The leadership team at Booksy doesn't micromanage or pretend to know how to do everyone's jobs. They actually allow employees to try new things and encourage it. Booksy does an amazing job of treating employees with respect.
Great leadership team, lead the organisation from startup to global scaleup company, with amazing product, great growth and high employee net promoter score. Continuous growth for individuals, diversity, exciting mission of helping health and sector with amazing software and service.

The leadership team is terrible at creating a definitive strategy and laddering that strategy down to the best of the organization. There is no cohesive vision.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Members of the Booksy executive team have admitted they'd prefer to never provide raises and don't intend to provide raises until the employee actively makes a case for why they need a raise. Outside of base comp, benefits are well below market standard.

I don't smoke, I usually work through my lunch break, I work extra all the time and I feel a little demotivated when I'm doing the best I can with the resources I have but I feel like I'm treading water and underappreciated by the rest of the team.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
set shorter meetings - in most cases 15mins will do.
Being quick and efficient, cut the fluff in-between. Work on communicating what's important. Offer to help when you're aware a co-worker is drowning in work. Stop talking about everyone else in the office, which creates nothing but a toxic environment.
No trust; cut each other down for the illusion of the self getting ahead.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Booksy is an incredibly toxic culture and I would not recommend it to anyone. It is unbelievably bureaucratic, especially considering its size. Leadership members that were the best at advocating for the interests of their teams have been let go.

Stop gossiping about co-workers to other co-workers. As we grow, it seems there is less collaboration and simply more negativity.

There are a lot of frustrations with being tied to another country and waiting weeks and weeks for things to be signed off or completed by them when we could source help locally and achieve our goals in a matter of days. We also need some more staff acknowledgement for going above and beyond.

Mine was conversational, but the nature of interviews at Booksy has changed since and now it appears to me as simply throwing the hardest questions out there in search for a non-existent perfect employee.
