If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Booksy?
introduce an adopt a european programme
Teach people how to be enthusiastic towards new solutions. Not everybody is up for changes and this does not contribute to the general goal of the company which is in fact "change of social practices".

What's the interview process like at Booksy?
good
It has several stages, tests you on theoretical and practical level.
I feel like I laughed a lot-super comfortable.
What is Booksy's policy towards pets in the workplace?
Dogs are allowed in the office. We've not tried other pets though.
Pets are acceptable.
They are allowed so long as the do not disturb work flow

What are your coworkers at Booksy like?
each employee insists on having their own designated nespresso machine. we are running out of counter top space and its super loud in the mornings, but the tech sector is super competitive so management don't have a choice.
Usually friendly and helpful.
Most are likeminded and believe in teamwork to achieve our goals.
How's the morale at Booksy?
50/50. Half of the people who ignorant enough to not notice think it's just fine. And the other half is getting discouraged.

Does Booksy drug test or do a background check?
not that I know of
Background check probably
When I was hired they did not do either of them. I think background checks should be implemented, purely for confirming past experience.
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at Booksy?
Interesting. Unconventional. Looking back now, I got to know my interviewers better than any other interview I've ever had. It was very conversational and more about getting to know the person than the actual job.

I was detailed in my questions to fully understand exactly what the goals, metrics, and culture were. It was exactly as discussed. They were very transparent as was I in what I was seeking from an employer.

Casual - but full of energy
Tense. Managers are getting laid off, departments downsized. It's very uncomfortable. No security.

How do you feel about Booksy's future?
Positive
The massive downsizing and laying off makes me question the success of the company, but there's little transparency, so I know I don't know.
Extremely positive. Going off the growth that has been the last year, it's looking bright!
What do employees at Booksy think about their benefits?
Some better than others but adequate
they seem pretty disappointed. regularly set work from home days? unlimited PTO they seem to not want us to use? free bfast only if we arrive within 9 to 9:15am? 50% insurance coverage? no stock perks. no matching 401k.
They've gotten substantially better the last few months.

I've experienced one over year.

very. we try new things even if we expect to fail. We are beating the competition by implementing innovation into each new app update.

all about the numbers - greens are good
We don't really measure success or growth. There isn't a lot of reflection on progress over time in regards to an individual rep's performance nor is there a set target for quota attainment that would propel that a rep towards a promotion, title change etc.
What part of Booksy's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Product enhancement is ongoing.
Teams: We have new offices popping up across the country constantly. Communication and awareness can't keep up. No one knows where anyone else is or how to work with them, since no one was aware they started, so they don't know how to best utilize their talents.
How does Booksy handle HR issues?
Uncomfortably
Very well. Always done professionally. HR is extremely open about hearing issues initially and then solving them in a timely manner. Very obvious that they care.
How much diversity is there among employees at Booksy?
Not much. As diverse as the C-suite and board....

Being able to be a part of many different projects throughout departments. Being able to learn about different facets of the business.
