No trust; cut each other down for the illusion of the self getting ahead.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I honestly am hard-pressed to think of anything negative, which never happens to me. We get free breakfast, Dark Matter coffee, fruit, massages, mani-pedis, 2pm snacks, happy hours, Moleskins, toiletries, etc. It's amazing. Booksy's staff is SO FUN & SO FUNNY! I love the people and our talks. <3
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
We could have a better project management system in place; currently, requests are sent in random emails with no foresight as to when a request might be sent, when it's needed, sometimes with unclear directions, but that's to be expected in a startup really. All improvements down the line.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are so incredibly friendly, from the C-suite to the management. They laugh and joke around with us and emphasize that we are NOT to take our work home with us and can always have more time on projects if needed, since there are so many tasks across teams. Really respect that.
What makes you most happy at work?
The autonomy. If I need to leave early, i leave; I don't ask. I don't ask to go get a cup of coffee during the day. I don't worry about someone checking in on me throughout the day. I come in, I crank work out, I help my team, I indulge in treats, and I go home happy. It's a DREAM.
