How long do the interviews usually take at Boston Scientific?
I never interviewed with Boston Scientific. I already worked for Advance Bionics when they were purchased.
What's the Operations team like at Boston Scientific?
The first (6) years of working at Advance Bionics/Boston Scientific the Operation team was very good. Many of the managers and senior managers were people who had worked there way up the management chain. The last two years politics and predictable outsourcing of Operations changed the culture. Peopled pulled back into their own groups and watched their backs more & more.
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at Boston Scientific?
I was hired by Advance Bionics after which Boston Scientific purchased Advance Bionics. So I was never really "interviewed" by Boston Scientific (BSN)
What's the pay like for Operations roles at Boston Scientific?
During my eight years at BSN (Boston) the pay was average, when comparing simular industry and assignment. Once it became clear that operations was going out to the international factories the pay went higher so BSN could retain the current staffing talent.
How's the leadership on the Operations team at Boston Scientific?
Department like Mcg Eng and Program Management ran well. Purchasing and production planning were not cohesive with each other. Though they worked for the same director, each group did their own thing.
How does Boston Scientific make decisions around promotions?
Boston Scientific considers the need for someone at the next level as well as the characteristics & performance of the individual. There are minimum requirements and individuals are expected to be “demonstrating they can perform at the next level” before being considered for a promotion. Promotions are not managed systematically, as they are often driven by individual requests and aggressive support by a direct supervisor. Special assignments (e.g. a temporary international assignment) and work on high-profile, successful projects also helps.
