  • The first (6) years of working at Advance Bionics/Boston Scientific the Operation team was very good. Many of the managers and senior managers were people who had worked there way up the management chain. The last two years politics and predictable outsourcing of Operations changed the culture. Asked to all employees at Boston Scientific

  • Boston Scientific considers the need for someone at the next level as well as the characteristics & performance of the individual. There are minimum requirements and individuals are expected to be “demonstrating they can perform at the next level” before being considered for a promotion. Promotions are not managed systematically, as they are often driven by individual requests and aggressive support by a direct supervisor. Special assignments (e.g. a temporary international assignment) and work on high-profile, successful projects also helps.
