Our leadership team is transparent about change, goals, expectations, and the direction of Bridgestone. It makes it easy to understand how my contributions drive our business forward.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our company is always assessing our inclusivity, the culture, and the impact that has on the community and our teammates. There are clear paths to having your voice heard and your opinions recognized. I can bring my whole self to work daily and that's celebrated!
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team is truly inclusive, flexible, and collaborative. We are mindful of each other's time and bandwidth. When one teammate needs support, we all step in to carry the load together. We lift each other to excellence on a daily basis and that is refreshing and inspiring!
What makes you most happy at work?
I can bring my full self to work! I never feel the exhaustion of having to dampen who I am. There is no need to be inauthentic in meetings or withhold my opinions. I can be transparent and speak with courage and candor. That makes me feel good about showing up every day!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My pay early in my career was not competitive for my degrees and contributions. Once that happens, it's difficult to right the ship when making internal moves. It takes a lot of negotiating to take small bites out of the gap between what I'm paid and what I believe I deserve for the impact I make
