Camp Bow Wow Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I don't know how to answer

none of us have any benefits or compensation package.

I get a discount on vet visits

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

If I was paid better and treated better

I'm sure everyone including my manager isn't paid nearly enough but I can only speak to my experience. It is extremely hard work for not even enough money to cover bills. I only accepted it because I genuinely love the dogs. Because of this it is mostly high schoolers working at my facility.

I do feel undervalued, for every position learned at camp should be a 50 to 75 cent raise.

Better management and higher oay

They lied about my compensation and laughed in my face when I questioned them about it.

Being paid the amount everyone else is.

I feel undervalued cause i work so hard there and im still forced to work all closes making eleven dollars an hour. I never get told im doing a good job and my boss only complains about everything and nothing is ever good enough for him even though he does nothing to help out. And the pay is awful.

Incredibly undervalued as well as I see other working hard that also are. More positive attitudes and slightly higher pay for the amount of work put in.

I am being scheduled less days then what i was told in the beginning that i would be working

The pay does not match the amount of work done. Especislly since were working with animals and putting ourselves at risk

Not necessarily just "undervalued" towards me, but it was also towards the animals. Working there was fun and always a joy to go in, but at the same time it's not because of how I'm "allowed" to work. We are not allowed to give the animals any of affection. Literally ' don't pick up the dogs. ' etc.

Review from Sales Dept

I worked really hard and took care of dogs and did a 100% job, I was written up wrongfully and they made me quit. I never got my tips also.

Review from Operations Dept

The owner constantly is narotic. She expects us to work shortstaffed, no benefits and no stock. She has high expectations of how the camp should be but doesnt lift a finger to help when shes here. What i really find abhorrd is that she underpays the manager but keeps putting more and more on her.

In every way possible its just a horrible place to work the only good part is the dogs

A new owner , not for me but others

I get paid barely more than minimum wage to put myself at risk breaking up dog fights, treat injuries, and come behind the manager and do his work for him because he either didn't do it or messed up. As a lead I have to act like a manager without getting paid like one.

Getting paid the hours i worked and not being set up for failure

I always went above and beyond, cleaning fur off steps, deep cleaning cabins, doing 10 jobs at once, never got the new hire bonus I was promised 400 new hire process. after 90 days I was there for almost 6 months.

$10/hr for a job that is not worth $10/hr. First add lunch breaks like a normal job and let me be treated fairly and not like some commodity. Should be allowed to hold on to personal belongings without being forced to put them in exposed cubbies. Allow staff to rest when needed.

I'm paid 11/hour to often work multiple peoples shifts, Im scheduled more days than I requested I be limited to due to my health and am often told to "stick it out" when I voice my concerns. Some days we have 50 dogs in our bigs yard, one of whom jumps the barrier and I get scolded for rotating them
