Camp Bow Wow Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The job its self is very fun at times and being with animals is very relaxing when your not being screamed at.

None. Honestly. Maybe 1 or two coworkers treat me ok. The rest were awful and snarky.

My coworkers, if i get a moment to actually talk with them

Working with the dogs is really an amazing experience. It it awesome to be able to make them happy all day even if it can be tiring. Building bonds, trust, and happiness with the dogs is by far the most positive part of the job.

Nothing. Almost nothing is positive.

The amazing dogs! And my supportive and hardworking counselors/shift leads

Review from Sales Dept

The dogs. Point-blank, not much else. The relationship you build with some of the dogs and the customers is by far the most rewarding part of it. Seeing the dogs happy faces every day and trying your best to keep them in a safe and fun environment.

Interacting with the dogs all day

Working with the dogs each shift.

Nothing. It's toxic at my camp. I asked for the HR number and got ignored.

The only positive thing about the culture and environment at camp is the dogs. Thats it.

My manager and basically her assistant manager, angel, try to make it the best experience possible. They often try to keep us smiling and laughing. The best part is they do it in a way where i dont feel like just because they are managers they are better than us. We are all in this together, instead.

The positive is the dogs and the rewarding feeling of caring for them and playing with them.

Literally nothing. There is no positive. Other than I guess working with dogs. But as many aggressive dogs as we allow to come, even playing with the dogs has become unenjoyable. I guess positive is I never have to worry about being fired because the boss lets everyone do whatever they want.

Talking with a few select coworkers, though usually stopped by management as they do not condone interacting in the yards.

Not much, honestly. We all love the dogs, but we are often too stressed by management , understaffing, and crowding in our big dog yard to really enjoy our time with the fur babies.

Review from Operations Dept

That the managers care about the employees and value our thoughts and ideas.

Review from Sales Dept

Everyone there truly cares about the animals

Review from Operations Dept

The dogs. That's it. Nothing else.

There are both negative and positive days...depends on how busy we are and how many dogs are there.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

New management that loves dogs more than money

caring a little bit more

The owner, the employees the current facilities

Management needs to stop treating people below them like children, as some of them are even more qualified than them, and they need to hear out the concerns. I also think the owner needs to stop being so greedy and think of the safety of the dogs and their employees

The new management and teenagers and young adults needs supervision , discipline and rules.

Review from Operations Dept

New staff the old one doesnt want to do anything besides play on their phones and sit in blind zones

the management. hire actual managers. people who have managed a business & hire people.

The owners of the facility and some of the staff

The franchise owner to not be abusive.
