What I like best about the leadership team at Capital One is providing the opportunity to TRY. Later we can evaluate lessons learned or celebrate wins!!
Review from HR Dept
They claim to be a family oriented business, but their main focus is helping people who are an LGBYT....

Review from Sales Dept
Culture. Too many people over performing without room to level up causing skewed calibrations. Top heavy leadership. Stop hiring failed Amazon execs.
Review from Sales Dept
Performance management toxic culture. Clean house. Fire all middle management. 27 year olds with 3 years work expeirence are not supposed to be people leaders
Review from Finance Dept
If an employee meets the qualifications for a new position they have applied for, they may not be allowed to transfer due to not be allowed to skip more than 2 levels. For example, I am a Coordinator and cannot transfer to a Manager. I would have to quit and reapply as an external employee.
Allow Employees to make decisions to move faster vs competition. Need to create strong RACI models instead of slow group think.
Review from Marketing Dept
Not show favoritism to those that are their friends. Recognize those that actually do their job.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Performance management should not be a favorites selection but rather based on individuals performance. Stop comparing employees to one another, if they are doing the job, pay them for it and promote them when applicable.
Review from Operations Dept
Honesty, communication, ethics, fair treatment of associates.
Review from Finance Dept
Focusing on talent rather than politics and political relationships.
Review from HR Dept
There is no diversity in leadership. It’s literally two years away from2020 and this is an American company who has never had any diverse leaders at the top during its entire existence.
completely out of touch - inconsistent on message and strategy. Constantly opening and closing job sites. Garbage place to work
Frankly, everything. They are a subprime credit card company trying to become a bank and failing miserably due to lack of experience. Every experienced senior leader they hire leaves due to the incompetence and inflexibility of the rest of the exec team.
Review from HR Dept
Capital one is fiercely lacking in leadership at the highest level.
Review from HR Dept
Horrible new sr director+ in growing location, many seasoned and well respected associates are leaving due to new leadership and inconsistent leading and personality
Review from IT Dept
Listening to and believing their associates. Also, ensure the leadership knows how to walk the wall, not just talk the talk.
