It is a very closed-off environment and people keep to themselves or in cliques. It can be intimidating for new hires.

There needs to be a no tolerance policy for drama, bullying, harassment, and pettiness & it must be enforced strongly. I enjoy other departments and one team member, the rest of my team is discouraging & cliquey. I'm constantly left out of team decisions and team info.

The long time employees struggle with change and seem to take their unhappiness out on the new staff. I have tried being friendly and accommodating and understanding of their situation. Now I just communicate if necessary.
