A Matcher is typically a philanthropist, charitable trust or foundation, or corporate sponsor, who has committed to match donations until the campaign goal is reached.

Yes, Charidy’s platform is mobile friendly.

All-or-nothing is one of the most effective aspects of the Charidy model, and is one of the key drivers of our high success rate. It creates an incredible sense of interdependency among all of your donors. Everyone is counting on everyone else to reach the goal or it will all go back! It also transforms the entire campaign day into an exciting event. Your biggest Matchers and your smallest donors will be watching your page every step of the way until you hit your goal. Everyone’s invested in your success. Also, due to Charidy’s effective strategy and program, and our management of your campaign preparation, we will not proceed with a campaign, unless we are confident that it will succeed.

As of now, Charidy does not accept check donations. For U.S. Campaigns, donors may donate via Direct Bank Transfer (ACH), which allows the donor to donate directly from their bank account. If you have further questions about check donations, please contact the organization itself.

Yes. Charidy takes your security seriously and we take reasonable measures to protect our user’s information. All transaction and credit card information entering the Charidy system is sent directly to Stripe.com. Our servers do not store or process your credit card information. In addition, Charidy uses sucuri.net to monitor any malware or suspicious activity. Charidy is also PCI compliant. We are not, however, responsible for any information you share with other users of the website or other third parties.

Great question--- we’re happy you noticed! We intentionally spell it that way; we're adding innovation to an old concept. Just like "Lyft" or other companies are innovating transportation, we here at Charidy have created a new platform that's changing the fundraising world.

The short answer... no! You do not need to have matchers to run a Charidy campaign, although we strongly recommend that you do. When donor funds are matched, they are encouraged to give more!

You should be receiving a receipt from the payment processor within 7 days of the campaign closing. If you do not receive it within seven days, please reach out to Charidy Support.

Unless an organization requests otherwise, all of our live campaigns can be found by clicking on the red button on the upper left-hand corner of the screen on a desktop and by scrolling down on our homepage on mobile. If you do not see the red button, then there are either no live campaigns or all live campaigns are unlisted.

Giving to the general fund distributes your donation to all participating organizations to help them reach their goal. The donations will be distributed evenly between all incomplete campaigns.

Thank you for reaching out to us! Please visit the organization's Charidy campaign page. There are two places to click the pink colored “donate” button on the page. One is in the top left hand corner of the page and the other is on the right hand side of the page underneath the “Goal amount”. Click the donate button and fill out the necessary information to make your donation.

Charidy campaigns are all-or-nothing; meaning, if the campaign isn't successful, all funds are returned to the donors.

Yes. All Matchers must sign a legally binding pledge letter prior to the launch of the campaign.

We have found that some older versions of Internet Explorer do not display the page in it’s entirety. While we apologize for any inconvenience, donating is still simple and easy! Either update your browser or use an alternative browser to donate.

Charidy only runs campaigns for certified nonprofit organizations. The ability for these organizations to issue tax deductible receipts ultimately depends on the laws of the jurisdiction where the organization is based.

Yes. Protecting our user’s information is a top priority. All data entered into our site is securely encrypted using SSL technology as is indicated by the lock symbol in the address bar. All credit card information entering the Charidy system is sent directly to Authorize.net without storing your credit card information. In addition, Charidy uses sucuri.net to monitor any malware or suspicious activity. While Charidy goes to great lengths ensuring our users privacy and security, we are not, however, responsible for any information you share with other users of the website or other third parties.

If you have not received a confirmation email and your name is not shown on the Donor List then your donation has not been processed. Please allow 5 minutes to receive the confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please refresh the page and try to donate again. In order to promote transparency, Charidy does not offer the option to donated anonymously. However, you're able to select "hide last name" if you have a Donor account on Charidy.

Charidy campaigns are run on an all-or-nothing basis to ensure that there is a true sense of interdependency and shared responsibility among the donor community. The Matchers are more willing to contribute generous gifts if the organization can show they have communal support from a large group. While the general community of donors feels more driven to give when they see that an organization has sufficient funds to carry out its mission -- it's all about teamwork!

You will receive your receipt within 24-hours of the successful conclusion of a campaign.

As of now we do not accept PayPal. Because campaigns are all-or-nothing, we need to put a hold on your credit card rather than actually charge it. That would not be possible with PayPal. We hope you enjoy your donation experience with a credit card!
