Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

We're said to be placed at 50th percentile in the market. It's hard to shout about being remarkable when the company itself strives to be average.

Salaries are non-competitive when compared to the standard in the industry.

fair compensation for the output

Salary needs to be made competitive with those at similar firms.

Last year, DS flatlined my salary. They said that only people who got rated Better Than (only 30%) would get salary increases. Others were told if they get increase, itd be one time merit only. then this yr I got 3%, inflation 8%. So over last 3 yrs, got basically 1pct incr a year.

being paid according to my deliverables

DS values certifications and jumping through hoops more than individual accomplishments. DS values financial performance too highly vs technical. Rises are handed out on a curve so if the whole team does well, no one gets a rise. Promotions are given to those who shmooze the top brass the most.

Even if their performances are good, or more than good, employees may not get a raise.

The managers need to start working on understanding what is hoing on and what my contributions are

DS doesn't consider the people with equity. They expect people to stay while there is no job opportunity in the French area they are installed.

People who deserve promotions never get them. This is part of the toxicity of the company.

Compared to other tech companies

No employee stock purchase option at all.

There are way too big gaps between salary levels and sometimes not justified as some candidates come from integrations
