What do you like best about the leadership team?
After a massive changeover, the currenet leadership team is attempting to restore the legitimacy of the organization and improve morale under continuing, difficult circumstances.
My immediate leader will modify certain order tomake them work for the better good of the agency, subordinates, and production in order to maintain the same goal as the headquarters in order to achieve success and maintain moral.
The leadership is not very positive about the mission.
It is a great. experience and I learn so much from the people around me.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
everything. they are not good at their job. it is run by a bunch of people that have power trips and feel the need to lack leadership qualities over have them
No more toxic masculinity in all the agencies, no more "good ole boy" network. They all need to listen to what their experts tell them, not just keep searching for the answer they want to hear.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The pay and benefits are not a surprise.
The health and dental benefits are very good.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My salary does not equate to the work in which I do on a daily basis. I hold down four different job positions but hold one salary for each job that pays more than $100k.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is smart and team focused.
The team I work with are hard working and on task.
We work together hand in hand to get the job done.
the people that I work with because we all have to deal with inadequate managers.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
I find myself doing 40% of my coworkers work and cleaning up their projects so that they will have a passing or above average performance rating.
stop being so snobby and assuming their way is always the best way. stop being so competitive
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Most people are willing to work together to accomplish the mission.
We are law enforcement and we have to depend on each other.
The culture at DHS is very task driven.
We all get along with one another and share the same common goal.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
nothing can change it is just the place of employment
its all about putting out the small fires a few feet in front of us and ignoring the raging inferno a mile ahead
What did you like most about the interview process?
There were only two rounds of interviews.
Many of the questions were forward and about myself . More of me fitting in as a leader and team player.
The drug testing was very pleasant to do.
I liked the questions that they asked me. They were comfortable.
it was a combination of panel interview and video which made it unique

should be much shorter. they ask multiple questions that assess the same thing

The importance of the mission
Every day I do something that is helpful to the public.
I love the job I have and the things that I get to do
I able to acheive higher position in the company whenever I choose.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There needs to be an improvement with management and the communications to the subordinates. the fair and equal process of promotion, training, pay, work distribution and supervisory oversight.
consider the bigger picture and not the immediate tasking. instead of lowering standards to meet hiring goals, tell congress their mandates are incorrect.
too politically driven, mission varies with the administration
