What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

BETTER COMMUNICATION, more empathy, NO MORE NEGLECT

listening to employees concerns, staffing appropriately(more staff in centers)

Try to retain the staff that you currently have and pay them more rather than expanding to new companies, and forgetting about the ones that are here.

Review from Operations Dept

Supporting GM's. HR needs to support the GM's more. The Handbook needs to be clear and HR as well as the employees need to adhere to it and not deviate randomly. Corporate needs to offer more support since we cannot get a lot of things done without them.

Review from Operations Dept

Everything. My practice manager needs to be replaced. She is the absolute worst.

Review from Operations Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

very few changes have been made for the better, there is lack of support for bettering this company THAT DESTIONATION PET COMMITED TO. Destination pet has shown time and time again that only facilities that are doing well matter most to them, its only about money and never ever about the employees.

For the responsibilities that are required of me, I do do not feel that the pay is sufficient. Even compared to other companies leads are not paid what they are valued for the workload that they take on.

Review from Operations Dept

I would feel better regarding my compensation if I was paid more or at least paid for over time.

I work too many hours to be paid salary. As a GM, I'm expected to cover shifts when nobody else can, stay late when nobody else can, etc. I work extra hours to be able to attend the mandatory meetings per my RM, and I even attend these meetings on my day off. I need compensation for the extra work.

Review from Operations Dept

Just be honest with everyone

Review from Operations Dept

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

I feel that most of my coworker still do not accept my new role as I was promoted to PM. 2 of them do not listen nor care about what I saw.

some members of the team do not do their fair share

Review from IT Dept

Coworkers would need to greatly improve their communication skills regarding injuries, illnesses, issues, or concerns with dogs in our care. Cleanliness is always an issue and it seems like no matter how many staff meetings we have about the same problems, the issues still persist.

Review from Operations Dept

Staying busy, doing good quality work in a timely manner

Review from Operations Dept

bottom of the barrel people

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Better management. Replace her, please.

Review from Operations Dept

Communication needs to be improved

Review from Operations Dept

Practice what you preach. Actually adhere to company values.

Review from Operations Dept

Need to reduce the unneeded conference calls. Allow you to make decisions without always having to have permission. Do not enjoy going to work because I feel like a puppet for my boss.

EMPATHIZE, COMMUNICATE with your facilities, make visits so it shows you actually care, come search to see all health and safety violations, put money in where it's needed rather than wanted. HIGHER PAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

CORPORATE NEEDS TO MAKE VISITS. SHOW EMPLOYEES YOU CARE AND ARE THANKFUL for the hard work that is bringing in our money.

not staffed appropriately, staff is overworked and management is resistant to hire more people to make the work flow more reasonable

Right now, my specific facility is in a transition. I feel like some selections for leadership at this site haven't been ideal, and there's a lot of poor negative behavior among colleagues. It's changing slowly though towards the positive.

Manager makes the environment negative. She does not care about anything except taking excessive time off without the company knowing.

Review from Operations Dept

While I am supportive of DP's goals, it is difficult to work in an environment every day where I do not feel supported in return. This entire company is extremely understaffed. Nearly every department is crumbling under the pressure of keeping up with the rapid growth, and it is taking a toll.
