I have been working at Discord for one year. In that time mostly from home due to COVID. I have enjoyed being a part of some of the best teams in my career and connecting with truly smart and creative people. It has made being stuck at home much more bearable.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I was encouraged to be honest and genuine and it was rewarded. Additionally, I was given on the spot problems to solve and it was a lot of fun!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people I work with are all absolutely incredible. I am very thankful to be a member of great teams. I also love how everyone is encouraged to be themselves.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The teams that I work with are all dynamic and high achieving. For me personally this is very important as I like to move fast and be agile in my projects.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The best aspect of compensation at Discord is that employees are encouraged to provide feedback, and the process is easy. In my time here suggestions have been taken seriously and implemented when possible.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting to see and talk to the people on my teams and create some fun and innovative products. I very much enjoy challenging projects that force me to think critically and learn new things.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The majority of our leadership team has a very genuine empathy for both our employees and the users of our product. I have never worked somewhere in which leadership was as genuine, transparent, and approachable.
