Ms. Elliott was responsible for Big Lots Inc.'s internal and external reporting, payroll and expense controls of the business. Prior to joining Big Lots, Ms. Elliott served as Vice President and Controller for Jitney-Jungle Stores of America, Inc. from April 1998 to March 2001. At Jitney-Jungle, Ms. Elliott was responsible for the accounting operations and the internal and external financial reporting functions. She served as Principal Accounting Officer, Controller and Vice President of South Boston Holdings, Inc. and Retail Risk Solutions, LLC. She serves as Director of South Boston Holdings, Inc. She also practiced public accounting for twelve years, a portion of which was with Ernst & Young LLP. She is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Elliott is a graduate of The College of William and Mary, where she received both her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees.
