Mr. John W. Garratt has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Dollar General Corporation since December 2, 2015. He oversaw all aspects of the Dollar General Corporation's financial, accounting and information technology operations. He served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy at Dollar General Corporation since October 2014 until July 1, 2015. Prior to joining Dollar General in 2014, he held various positions of increasing responsibility in the finance organization of Yum! Brands from May 2004 to October 2014 and held leadership positions in corporate strategy and financial planning. He served as Vice President of Finance and Division Controller for KFC. He served as Plant Controller for Alcoa from April 2002 to May 2004. He spent three years with General Electric in various financial management roles with increasing responsibility. He started his career at Alcoa, where he worked for approximately nine years from May 1990 to March 1999. Mr. Garratt holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Indiana University and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University.
