I have one for the books. I Live in Washington, Pa. I have been in a lot of the Dollar Generals in the area. From Pittsburgh to To Hopwood Pa. And and only one store has a problem with my animal. She is an ESA and Registered service animal. With that being said. Small dogs that can be carried or placed in the cart should be fine. Service dog or not. Again that being said I have a service Gator. Yes a service Gator. I am welcomed in most Dollar Generals in Southwestern Pa except one. Most ask that I keep her on my shoulder or in my arms, which is not problem. Often asking questions about her. Customers always ask about her and it passes the time in line. Most cases I am in to get a drink or bread and I am out.

No pets. Only Task Trained service dogs that accompany a disabled individual. Employees must give the manager vet records, full task list, a main task list signed by the doctor, a doctor's prescription for a service dog, and a doctor's letter stating exactly why the individual needs a service dog. It's a ton of hoops to jump through. Sadly it is against corporate policy to ask the 2 ADA mandated questions to customers tho and we are not allowed to ask any dog to leave the store so pets come in all the time even tho the door says service dogs only. ~ an employee with a service dog
They only want 2 two legged human animals per shift and that's why very little gets accomplishec if you have a busy store. Four legged isn't allowed.
At that distribution center pets are not allowed but then again we have received in the trucks raccoons, cats, snakes, mice, rats, geckos and other interesting things
Depends on the management and the customers responses to the pet
They are allowed if they are a service animal
service dogs allowed in Dollar General
No pets allowed
