Transitioned from family company to growth-mindset through acquisition. Lots of good still in there, but some of the "family" part is gone. New leadership is a lot more ambitious, and may be pushing some people beyond sustainable limits. I and my team are still mostly protected from it.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
they are willing to take action when needed, rather than discussing things forever without actually making a decision.
What makes you most happy at work?
Staying organized enough that my team can stay in a productive "flow" state all the time - turning out great stuff with minimum friction and frustration, and delighting our users with features that actually matter.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My compensation strikes a good balance between fixed income and an incentivized bonus structure. I consider the actual amounts to be at the bottom of the range for my role in this competitive and high-inflation salary market.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Excellent camaraderie - the members of the team really do care about each other. People are willing to give extra to help out, inside or outside of work. We have fun, and a sense of humor even though we work hard too. We're all in this together.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company delivers value to our clients. The drive and satisfaction that delivering useful stuff to real people provides is a major benefit to our culture. We care about doing good work, and supporting our clients (internal and external) when things aren't working. In short, people *care*.
