I came in expecting the culture to match the mission - uplifting woman. Instead once I was being offered to be part of the leadership program my manager stopped being nice to me, ignoring me completely during shifts. I was treated awful for no reason and developed anxiety due to how I was treated.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was straight forward - basic interview.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Keep the gossip out of work - about each other and especially the customers.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I wish I could say it was positive but my experience has only been negative.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
For how hard we are expected to push clothes at our customer and spend so much time styling to make large sales, commission would make sense.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Toxic and hostile work culture - mean girls. Get better at hiring real genuinely nice people especially in higher positions. Theres nowhere for employees to go to when management is the cause of being treated poorly and unprofessionally.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Mean Girl high school mentality has to go, and upper management needs to be more proactive in putting a stop this behavior. Unfortunately all the managers and DM's are part of it so there is no one to turn to.
