If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at GE Aviation?
More training, better communication between production and management, management doesn’t always understand the needs of the production personnel. They ask for something but don’t have the parts needed to Complete the job putting unnecessary pressure on production

I think if they can get the suppliers to get the components they need the people can more than complete the production needed and will work whole heartily to do what ever it takes to produce on time

3 dept managers. I was already a temp for 2 years so I didn’t think a interview was necessary. I had already proved to them I was a good potential employee

It’s stressful and complicated
How flexible is your work schedule at GE Aviation?
Very good You can work as much or little as you want to. Mandatory overtime is sometimes needed and not everyone does it.

You were slightly trained and had to figure it out as you went. No real training

That is a management opportunity not a production opportunity

They are adequate but medical doesn’t cover enough
How does GE Aviation handle HR issues?
Not very fairly. I was terminated from my new position because I could not do the job properly. Instead of moving me back to the position I excelled at. I constantly told everyone I was struggling. Asked for extra training and brought my concerns to management, production coordinator and HR. I was allowed to continue failing until I was terminated. Where is the concern for the employee and not the product?
