What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership Reviews

Their helpfulness is nice to have

Great company to work for

They are fun and collaborative to work with

Their ability to communicate well

Smarter than most managers I have worked with, although that bar isn't set very high.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

There is a latent need for happy and motivated people. Focus more on the people, not only on the prize.

Curbing the bullying on a daily basis.

Review from Admin Dept

Treating administrative staff like they matter, just as much, as technical ones.

Review from Admin Dept

The place is one big Clique. Everyone works in the their departments and only socialize with people in their department. HR's has a large turnover and they seem out of touch with people.

Review from Admin Dept

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

The annual benefits and vacation time

The bonus twice a year.

Review from Design Dept

Bonuses are pretty much guaranteed even during recessions and pandemics. ESOP and profit sharing are good

I love that there are bonuses twice a year

Bonuses and the profit share plan

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

I am paid less than coworkers who have less experience and education than me (I'm male, so it isn't a gender bias).

I made about 500. a week. It was not enough to live on.

Review from Admin Dept

We deserve battle pay for working with all these egos. The executive team has their favorites and the rest are expendable.

Review from Admin Dept

I am underpaid even if you leave out total annual compensation.

I'm bringing a lot of rich experience, education and abilities to the company that I have been applying outside of my core responsibilities.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

They are kind and helpful

It is the best part about the job.

The diversity of talent and passion.

Review from Design Dept

Everyone on the team works together for the best outcome and genuinely cares about your well being

Friendly, helpful, and cooperative team.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Respect meetings time. Meet with intention and stick to the purpose.

Very cliquey bunch. Almost like High School. If you aren't in the popular crowd, you are in danger of being eliminated.

Review from Admin Dept

Be kind to receptionists. Everyone matters.

Review from Admin Dept

Very anti social unless they need something.

Review from Admin Dept

My coworkers need better communication and critical thinking skills.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Environment Reviews

Coworkers are great, lunch and learn meetings.

The diversity of the people that work at Gensler throughout the world and the connections/friendships one can make.

Review from Design Dept

When in the office the culture is constant and you're encouraged to partake

Always comfortable to work with, good working environment and great concern for the community.

People caring for each other and always willing to assist

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

People make decisions here based on fear. For example, everything in our space needs to look exquisite for fear of our CEO blowing up.

What did you like most about the interview process?

Interviews Reviews

The interviewers were nice and friendly.

Well it depends on the level you are coming in but the recruiting team is fantastic.

Review from Design Dept

Confidence and positivism from the begining

The interviewer made me feel comfortable

3 stages - HR - Manager - Manager + Team. It wasn't hard but it also wasn't a breeze. You have to prepare and be ready - so as long as you are prepared - the process was really not bad. Everyone was also extremely warm and welcoming. Gensler gets it.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

It needs to be more organized.

Review from Admin Dept

The positive atmosphere, and someone is always bring in chocolates

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Favoritism is a problem. So is the micromanaging. There is also bullying that is not attractive.
