Knowing that we help protect families' financial future when they lose a loved one makes me feel my job is meaningful.
What are some of the best things about your team?
GA has smart, amazingly-talented, hard-working, and likeable people. They get the job done exceedingly well but aren't afraid to have fun while doing so.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
GA culture encourages, practices, and invests in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Hard work is recognized. Employees are viewed as humans rather than just numbers.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our leaders value and embody integrity, ethics, community involvement, charitable generosity, and employee appreciation. They are approachable and willing to mentor others -- as well as to learn from others.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am contacted by recruiters often and know people in my job role at many other insurers have starting salaries 15-20 thousand more per year plus 10% bonus, 401(k), etc. I stay because of the people and management, but rising costs make that choice more financially challenging each year
