David M. Sheffield — Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President at Global Payments

Mr. David M. Sheffield has been Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President at Global Payments Inc. since April 2015. Mr. Sheffield has 25 years of finance and accounting experience, he has also led large-scale ERP system implementations and played key roles on financial turnaround teams. Mr. Sheffield served as Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President of Finance of EMS Technologies Inc. since August 1, 2008 until January 2012. He served as Vice President of Accounting and Controller of U.S. Tower Division of American Tower Corporation from January 2012 to April 2015. Mr. Sheffield served as Vice President of Finance and Accounting of Allied Systems Holdings, Inc. from 2005 to 2008. He served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Matria Healthcare, Inc. from 2003 to 2005. He has responsibility for SEC financial reporting, technical accounting research, tax reporting, treasury, corporate financial planning and analysis and financial shared service functions. He also served in senior accounting and finance leadership roles with Rubbermaid, Gulfstream Aerospace and Safety-Kleen. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche, serving clients in a variety of industries. He served as a National training instructor, financial instruments specialist and a quality control reviewer for Deloitte's national office. Mr. Sheffield is a CPA and an honors graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Kent State University.
