Awesome workplace environment to build a career.
They host town halls and globalcast to keep us up to date
Review from Engineering Dept
good vision and sound strategy
Intelligence, interesting diverse backgrounds, willingness to listen
Open to new models of work
Leadership is terrible. Truth is they do not know what they are doing. What they have the bravado and cockiness as if they do. None of them have had formal training or education in leadership, management or business. They have "honed" their skills in a closed environment not realizing how real busin
Divisity is for the citizens in this company. The visa holder spend more time work for the company but get nothing. Some of the managers are bad that use the visa to therat you. Lot of retaliations for people who do not say yes to your boss. Senior managers has no vision but keep saving cost.
Review from Engineering Dept
Upper management needs to allow first and second level management more leeway to do their job and reward employees. Currently lower management is barely more than a conduit of information between executives and the workforce.
Communicating their mission and vision statements and caring about their employees.
They need to be a LOT more knowledgeable about the things they are making decisions about
Good benefits and pay is very fair
Better than average for my area of the US
Stock match purchase plan investment
The amount of paid time off is second to NONE for this area.
Benefits are good, bonus as well
My salary is of lower end compared to other company.
GF is known industry wide to have lower salaries compared to the rest of industry. They know they are last choice for employment and therefore pay accordingly sincd anyone coming to them is desperate.
Just equal to the industry level will be fine. Company pay not by performance but manager prefer. The company pay less but on another side waste a lot of money on nonsense things.
Review from Engineering Dept
I was recently denied a promotion by someone who has never seen how difficult my job is. My contributions and glaringly positive numbers are ignored. But focus is placed on my minor deficiencies which can only be addressed by more logistical support and manpower which I am denied.
The raises for the last several years have been incredibly small. Even with a permotion I got a raise that was smaller than the national average and the increase of the cost of living.
My team used to very collaborative and fun, but my boss quit and the replacement person was pretty incompetent and a strong pushover. He doesn’t set clear goals for the team so I feel like we are always jumping around to different projects without closing anythin
Genuine people that are nice to be around
Review from Engineering Dept
Manager and knowledgeable people on team willing to help others
Approachable and some of them are rather helpful.
Everyone wants to help if you ask
Gut the entire management system and train new managers to be leaders.
Flexible work from home option
Management mostly leaves you alone in the fab if you are doing your job.
Everyone is trying to help and do their best. The managers as well but more words than actions from the management team
This company CANNOT afford more call outs and employees that take advantage of PTO while those with better work ethic are paid less than or equal. Allow employees to cash personal/sick time or apply it to vacation bank.
The fake systems and just lies need to end. Transparency. GF will advertise and explain to employees how promotions work or compensation, but it is not how it really works or truth. As example ask GFer about roll out of "worksmart" program
Company should recongize people by performance not by managers. A lot of managers are evils and not qulified. Very racsis for visa holder and use everythings they can control you.
Review from Engineering Dept
More respect, appreciation and compensation for employees.
The company should focus on servant leadership and focus on the needs and emotions of their employees more. The management is to focused on numbers and metrics and are blind to the day to day challenges of the workers.
I meet most if not all of my team before signing on
Review from Engineering Dept
Full tour of the fab with opportunities to ask questions
Very supportive interactions, you feel you join a good team
All interviews were very friendly, they are desperate getting new people on board
Everyone was super friendly however I didn't realize how desperately they needed people
Lots of lies. Lots of misrepresention of truths that you only realize after a little time in GF. Think of sterotype of military recruiters. GF is the same.
Getting to invent our way out of problems
Review from Engineering Dept
Flex work day. Keep that up. It shows that managers trust their people and don't micromanage.
Flexible work arrangement and self managed
My team is a great team - hardworking, transparent, respectful.
My coworkers
Allow loyal employees with good work ethic that have not used all their personal/sick time (that everyone else seems to take advantage of) to be converted to cash or applied to vacation bank.
Customers only come to GF because its cheap. They know what they ate gettinh when entering into s relationship with GF. They also have zero respect for GF. On calls they do not trust GF's input or thoughts. This goes back to industry seeing GF as industry rejects. Just the cheapest placd around.
Stop talking about the nonsense good side but accpet the truth of what is the shortcoming and fix it. Communixate more with the employees ans customers to listen to what they is the real problem and what is the real solution. No just we are working on it but acutally nothing happens
Review from Engineering Dept
Morale continues to decline at a constant and seemingly never ending rate. Again, the company needs to focus on improving morale, employee appreciation and compensation.
The people making decisions seem to have no knowledge of the processes.
