  • Tell me about a time when you had to gain commitment from others on a new vision from the company. Can you give me a short scenario? Just so I understand.. Tell me about a specific change you had to introduce within a certain group or company? What resistance did you incur from the team or individuals and how did you overcome it? What techniques have you learned to manage and supervise others behavior and how to correct that? As a manager your responsible to improve the financial aspect of the company, how are you going to do that in the short term?

  • Extremely pigeon holed into this "platinum" thing, never talks about nutrition, immature, and offers no career development or growth pathway save for the 2 store managers they choose to drive around with them. Have their own clique, but unlike other sales cultures this clique is extremely gossipy, backbites, and undercuts employees.

  • There are "tricks" that managers will teach you in the field to pad your "pro access" and "auto delivery" numbers. These two metrics are the sole concern

  • Communication, product knowledge, math and biology and chemistry would be very helpful. Personality is also important.

  • There are no layoffs. They will ignore you, ridicule you, and place you in awful situations in hopes that you will quit, and it is done a lot.

  • Key Performance Indicators: Pro Access 3.5% of your customers Auto Delivery 2.0% of your customers These give you Platinum metal status (like some kind of a rapper culture) and that is all that matters. You can imagine the form of strategies that will occur to protect and pad those percentages.

  • As far as my customers go I love my job. Otherwise not so much.

  • It's hard to stay positive when the paycheck doesn't go very far and I have to work two other jobs and many managers are in the same situation. PMS are not what they used to be. Commission has dwindled down to bare minimum.

  • We have every size, age and color so I don't have an answer to that question.

  • As a woman with prior experience I was hoping for advancement beyond store management but GNC is basically a Male dominated industry. I work in a remote area so advancement was non existent. Too much effort to replace me.
