The majority of the organization is very well aligned in its mission. The charter school seems to be a bit separatist and does its own thing without working with the rest of the organization, which is annoying and causes some problems, but otherwise everyone is very aligned and supports each other.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team empowers me to make decisions and take appropriate calculated risks. This is so refreshing, especially in a non-profit.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The shared vision of helping the community really rallies us all together. That, and management's transparency have both really been nice.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Almost everyone has a shared mission and shared vision, and together we accomplish great things with us all working towards those same organization-wide goals.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The best thing about the compensation package is the incentive compensation, such that if the organization does better than plan, I can also do better than my personal plan. The alignment of interests is great!
What makes you most happy at work?
Finding ways to put additional dollars to the bottom line so that we can fund additional clients through the school, Goodwill Career & Technical Academy, or any of our other mission services. This organization has a true mission and truly helps people every day.
