I'm very happy working at GCT even though I'm underpaid.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team are smart, dedicated, professional people who care about GCT's mission. Even better they are really kind, engaging, and interesting to be around.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
So many people are willing to help their colleagues succeed. While we have a lot of intelligent, ambitious people, GCT doesn't nurture office politics.
What makes you most happy at work?
I really like what I do, and I like the people with whom I work. Combined, these elements make me the happiest at work.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like their laid-back, yet committed to the mission, style of leadership. We have freedom to think outside-the-box and challenge conventions, while respecting the wisdom of those who've succeeded in bringing GCT to where it is today.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
While interviewing, I stated a pay range with which I was comfortable and expected for the job. When the offer of employment was made, it was significantly less (>$10k) than what I needed. At no point in the interview process was I told my salary expectations were too high for the position.
