What's the internship program like at Halliburton?
Some departments work hard to make it interesting.
How flexible is your work schedule at Halliburton?
It isn’t. The company is rather stuck about being physically present for 8.5 hours a day. Any deviation requires using vacation time. And there is no credit for overtime, weekend or holiday hours.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Halliburton?

Poor. Concerns are back about layoffs coming around again.

How disfunctional the management is.
What's the Design team like at Halliburton?
Depends on the team: there are multiple teams. Some are better than others.
How's the leadership on the Design team at Halliburton?
There is no single design team: there are multiple teams. The leadership varies from very good to not so good depending on the team.
How do you feel about Halliburton's future?
Not very comfortable. The management team that tried to merge with BHI is still in place. The oil market is changing, and it’s future will likely be a lower margin play.
How challenged are you at Halliburton?
Often very challenged, but that is why I stay.
What are your coworkers at Halliburton like?
Some of the coolest get things done folks work here in the trenches.
What's the interview process like at Halliburton?
Depends greatly on the position and the organization. The only constant is they tend to be slow.
What part of Halliburton's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
It all depends on the price of oil right now.
How's the work life balance at Halliburton?
In Technology, work life balance is excellent: most folks work 40 hours a week most of the time. In Operations or the Field, work life balance is pretty bad, but that's normal for the oilfield.
