Ms. Oxana Balayan is a Partner at Lovells. She joined the firm as a Partner in 2002. Ms. Balayan is the Local Managing Partner and the Head of the Corporate Practice in the Moscow office. Her practice areas include mergers and acquisitions and private equity. Ms. Balayan specialises in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions in Russia. She advises a variety of major international and Russian clients. Ms. Balayan's work involves a wide range of industries, including financial services, retail, media, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and real estate. Her experience involves advising Pyaterochka Holding NV on the US$1.37bn acquisition of Perekriostok Holdings Limited in the course of the US$2.5bn merger of both companies and advising Prof-Media on an US$360 mln acquisition of MTV Russia and VH1 Russia TV networks. Prior to Lovells, Ms. Balayan worked in a major German law firm in Munich and Moscow from 1995 to 2001. She is fluent in English, German, and Russian languages.
