IBM Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The pay and benefits together.

Review from Sales Dept

RSUs are good along with the base

Review from Engineering Dept

Good 401k plan and competitive overall pay

Review from Engineering Dept

best part is the RSU offered

Review from Operations Dept

Salary is competitive for the market.

Review from Customer Success Dept

It is simple to understand

Review from Sales Dept

my base salary is good

Review from Customer Support Dept

Base is a bit low for similar companies based in the Silicon Valley. Nothing great but not bad.

Review from Engineering Dept

The best part is the bonus

Review from Customer Success Dept

Competitive pay + RSU is a huge plus for me

Review from Engineering Dept

The RSU awards are the best part of the compensation package.

Review from Engineering Dept

Pay is great and benefits are great too

Review from Sales Dept

Balance of pay and benefits

Review from Product Dept

Overall package is OK, now benefits ca be improved ie. Sports membership are refunded in similar companies ex. Datadog.

Review from Sales Dept

The base salary is very attractive, especially as it relates to my overall compensation package. I appreciate that the company is not using RSUs to force people to stay to be paid fairly for their work now.

Review from Operations Dept

I feel that HashiCorp provides competitive pay

Review from Sales Dept

Bonus, incentives and stocks. I like very much to know about the existence of different levels

Review from Customer Success Dept

Ability to gain from a merit based system while contributing to a strategic way vs. tactical.

Review from Engineering Dept

Base salary is in line with market

Review from Marketing Dept

salary, flexibility and the equity

Review from Finance Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Comparing to the market I would say

Review from Engineering Dept

clumsy programme incorrect set up

Review from Marketing Dept

Compensation rates change and account lists change too frequently to get momentum built for the size deals we are expected to close

Review from Sales Dept

Absolutely - Got promoted twice with zero compensation. Also some of my co workers earn way more than me with less results

Review from Sales Dept

I took a pay cut last year and no one ever discussed it with me. I've had benefits taken away and was expected to smile and move on with my life.

Review from Customer Support Dept

re-leveling and/or promotions doesn't go even one exceeding exceptions and it leaves one with feeling that it doesn't matter if you over perform or not because you gonna end up to the same results and one career seems doesn't matter

Review from Engineering Dept

Location based pay as employed by HashiCorp is a discriminatory practice based on the old world where jobs are tied to location. The fact that my work isn't being valued as highly as someone living across the border is unfair and disheartening. It perpetuates existing inequalities.

Review from Engineering Dept

My stock compensation is lower than industry standard for the region I'm in

Review from Product Dept

I can appreciate that Hashicorp tries to be fiscally conservative, however I don't think haggling over 10 grand for a yearly salary is what would make or break Hashicorp. If it did, then they really don't know how to handle money.

Review from Engineering Dept

Region based pay is a terrible idea. You have extremely skilled people, with the same expenses as the U.S. who get paid 1/2 as much.

Review from Engineering Dept

I've been here nearly four years and have never received an equity refresh (my initial grant is almost expired), and have never received a promotion or more than the bare minimum ~2% annual raise despite substantial contributions to product strategy and hands-on work shaping the upstream ecosystem.

Review from Engineering Dept

Salary is low for my role/location

Review from Operations Dept

pay has not kept pace, i was forced into effectively 50% pay cut and with global changes that is now compounding

Review from IT Dept

Compensation for existing employees that have been here for several years does not compare with newer hires.

Review from HR Dept

Compensation should be at par with industry.

Review from HR Dept

To be able to get a meaning salary increase with out leaving the company

Review from HR Dept

Last year I changed the job, I applied for the internal position, which was a band higher than mine, and I expected to get the raise but didn't get it. I even didn't have a conversation about it. In another company, they offered me 2k more, but I love IBM and don't want to leave. Hope for the change

Review from HR Dept

For a new joiner compensation and performance analysis should be done at 6 months also

Review from Operations Dept

Increase in percentage annually would be great!

Review from Operations Dept

Beacuse new experinced staff comes in on a higher band level & salary, and experinced staff is asked to jump through hoops to even be conidered for band and salary advancements. Remove the hoops!
