IBM Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Really smart and kind people that you learn a lot from.

Review from Design Dept

It is supposed to support women, but I see little of that in the DACH region.

Review from Sales Dept

There are too many new learnings which are good for my career.

Review from Engineering Dept

Everyone cares about the way they communicate and engage with each-other.

Review from Engineering Dept

you really feel like a team working towards the same goals

Review from Operations Dept

Everyone is open and inclusive.

Review from Customer Success Dept

responsible polite being nice communication

Review from Engineering Dept

Culture is quite good in terms of helpfulness and being kind to each other.

Review from Sales Dept

the learning culture is very good

Review from Customer Support Dept

most positive thing is the people and working remote

Review from Customer Success Dept

The culture seems to welcome learning and acceleration of each other in a way where everyone can grow as they'd like

Review from Engineering Dept

The inclusiveness is the most positive aspect of the company culture.

Review from Engineering Dept

We are all working towards the same goals

Review from Sales Dept

HashiCorp's principles and values lived out

Review from Product Dept

Madrid Hub has events going on every other week.

Review from Sales Dept

This company largely embraces and enables its distributed workforce to be successful. Global Meet up, budget for some to have live IRL offsites, while also providing volunteer and in-office connection opportunities.

Review from Operations Dept

The guiding principles are those that embody them in their day to day

Review from Sales Dept

I like very much the Hashicorp culture and principles. The most positive thing is that executive team is keeping in mind these principles

Review from Customer Success Dept

friendly open and you can talk to anyone

Review from Marketing Dept

High value solutions, translate to meaningful work.

Review from Engineering Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Less silos, more collaborations and ways to connect.

Review from Marketing Dept

Not sure if it's across IBM or only in my project but the environment is very toxic. One bad fish can spoil the whole pond.

Review from IT Dept

More accountability on the work people do.

Review from Design Dept

follow the principles for all interactions within the organization

Review from Customer Success Dept

there are 2 companies here... one that makes its employees grow, the other that complicates the working life of the employees: there's the management that even if you point out the problems and even give them the solution, they completely ignore the question and the problems becomes more complicated

Review from Admin Dept

Rather pursuing interesting projects with real benefit, I'm untangling the same convoluted processes because my suggested fixes are ignored, or I'm on a Sisyphusian loop redoing the same projects because something changes (a team is laid off, a system is replaced, etc.) every time it's completed.

Review from Product Dept

Get rid of the bullying attitude of my executive leadership.

Review from HR Dept

No career incentives to do better.

Review from IT Dept

Actually care about employee experience. Action the numerous surveys. Listen to and act on feedback. Stop constantly shifting gears with the result that the majority of our projects go into the dustbin, wasting everyone's time.

Review from HR Dept

Act on the various surveys and AskMeAnything sessions. Make sure everybody gets a fair chance to work on the interesting tasks, listen to the experienced team members, Evaluate PM's, they are being allowed to make the same mistakes again again, and don't listen to the experienced voice.

Review from IT Dept

Less focus on metrics and more focus on solving the problems that our customers face. We have customers who can't get the help that they need because no teams will step up and take responsibility.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Work towards professionalism. And behavior concerns togather to bring our company to next level

Review from Customer Support Dept

We need a new COO and organization. Everyone defaults to Slack messages and impromptu Zoom calls, nothing is written down or documented.

Review from Engineering Dept

Pay. People. What. They're. Worth. Acting like the company has no money is not good for the longevity of HashiCorp. There is going to be extremely high attrition rates and that's not going to bode well for us in the long run.

Review from Sales Dept

Get rid of metrics that don't serve customers or the company.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Meetings between employee and manager at some interval. At least once in a quarter

Review from Operations Dept

Hire more employees if the heavy workload permits, implement management integrity, listen to the concerns of IBM employees and not just with the client

Review from Finance Dept

There is too much focus on the USA society issues in the soft skills trainings. Relevant local issues should be tailored upon geographical location.

Review from Operations Dept

Training plan focused on the actual on-the-job knowledge. Project context/details you cannot find online. Culture and soft skills are nice, but these aren't making people productive if the project-specific info is not handed-over.

Review from Operations Dept

Less bullying from upper management.
