Executive Bio

Dr. Michele Madansky has been Executive Vice President of Insights, Research and Data Analytics of iHeartMedia, Inc. since November 27, 2017. Dr. Madansky served as Director of Marketing Research at Yahoo! from 2003 to 2007. She was responsible for market research efforts to support product, marketing, sales and corporate needs. At Yahoo!, she authored several ground-breaking studies including Disconnected: life without the internet, The Long and Winding Road to the Cash Register and It s a Family Affair: The Media Evolution of the Global Family in a Digital Age. Her team pioneered innovative ways of tracking online advertising effectiveness in driving offline sales across product categories. Before joining Yahoo!, she spent her entire career in advertising, focusing on quantitative research and online marketing. Over the past decade she has worked with some of the top media companies including BuzzFeed, ESPN, Pinterest, Time Inc., Hearst, Twitter, The New York Times, YouTube, GSN, Chegg and BabyCenter. In New York, she worked at BBDO as a researcher and as the agency s first interactive media specialist. She worked as an independent consultant in New York City for clients including DoubleClick, Beyond Interactive and Saatchi and Saatchi. prior to joining Yahoo!, she served as Managing Partner at Grey Insight Partners. She serves as Member of Board of Advisors at Martini Media Network, Inc. Her dissertation is entitled Traditional Ads in an Interactive Environment. Dr. Madansky holds a Sc.B. from Brown University and an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
