Every company has their empire builders, but I feel like at Insperity, those are fewer, and for the most part, people are trying to lift each other up.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They lead by example. They hold themselves accountable for the same ethical, customer-focused principles they expect us to follow.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
My salary is fair, but our benefits are exceptionally priced, so it equates to making more since I pay so little for the great coverage I get.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They aren't just my work team, they've become best friends. I trust them completely, which is rare, because I have high standards and to earn my unflagging trust, you have to be reliable and talented in your role. They are that and then some.
What makes you most happy at work?
I have a lot of responsibility in my job, but I also feel like I have people working with me to help us get to the finish line. My job is full of constant challenges, but that's the way I like it, or I get bored.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
You're given room to breathe and work. You are allowed to take risks and fail. The mentality is to "fail fast," meaning to constantly be honest about the progress and if it isn't working, say so, and change it. Being given that leeway is critical to innovation.
