IZEA Appoints Digital Leader Patrick Venetucci as Chief Executive Officer
My experience thus far at IZEA has been nothing short of amazing. Ever since I started here part-time in College, I've known IZEA was the place I wanted to be. Since then, I've grown and challenged myself in multiple departments and roles. I wouldn't trade my experience here for anything.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I love IZEA. There really isn't another company I would ever be interested in working at, because I see the value in committing to this team and family for the long run. There are opportunities to grow and excel, and I feel challenged every day. I learn, and grow, and that's all I can ask for.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Best part about our employee compensation package is the wide variety of options available to choose from, and the fitness reimbursement.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people. I love what I do because I'm surrounded by empowering people who lift me up and support me and my growth personally and professionally.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our IZEA culture encourages growth, I've always been encouraged to learn and grow whether it be in different roles, different departments, or through creating and achieving goals. We're even offered smartypants funds to continue education.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The best thing about my team is how we interact when we're all in one place together. I love my managers, and my teammates so much. It's always such a good time to be together.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The thing about our leadership team that I admire most is their vision - they know where they want to take this Company, and they motivate each and every one of us to work towards that overall goal. They also embody the IZEA way, and our company culture.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our company culture is like a big family, but not in a toxic way at all. Some companies preach having a family culture, but then they abuse that culture to overwork or under-compensate their employees. IZEA simply treats everyone like family, everyone is nice and cares about each other.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Ted and Ryan truly care about the culture of our company. It is so evident in the way that they strive to maintain company culture, and keep the magic alive while we've shifted to a remote workplace. It's rare to find leadership who cares so deeply about the company culture.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The love, motivation, and support I receive from IZEA family is one of the best aspects of my job. We work hard, and we have fun. When dealing with tragedy in my personal life, my IZEA family rallied around me in a way I've never experienced in a workplace before.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people that I get to interact with everyday at IZEA are the best aspect of my job, and what I look forward to most. I've always known that IZEA is the only place I see myself, the relationships I've built here professionally, and personally are what make me happy in the workplace.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I do think we advertise competitive compensation, and I would say while that may have been true in the past - our compensation and benefits is no longer competitive. I don't feel undervalued by any means. I simply think IZEA could do a better job at compensating their employees across the board.
