What did you like most about the interview process?

I had the opportunity to meet many members of the leadership team.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The most positive aspect of the company culture is my coworkers and opportunities for lateral mobility.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

I feel that I work together well with my coworkers, but the toxic culture has everybody feeling weary and my coworkers wear their sentiments on their sleeve.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The Irving family has a monopoly in the region and are the only shareholders. Until the government implements policy to curb this, it will never change. The Irving's will never be challenged when it matters and even their direct reports are too afraid of them to speak their mind.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Though I feel sufficiently paid in comparison to other jobs in the region, this is because the province functions under a monopoly and the owners of JDI virtually control every aspect of the economy. Wage suppression is a real concern. I would be much better paid if I moved to a different location.
