What makes you most happy at work?We hire super smart people. I learn a lot from my coworkers on a daily basis.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?Empowerment. Leadership allows a lot of autonomy, but they provide great support when needed.
What are some of the best things about your team?We are so cohesive and with so many bright minds, it's very easy to rely on each other.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?Not forcing people to do 'Team Bonding' like children. Team bonding is important, and understandable. But to force people to make turkeys out of hands with crayons, or call team bonding lunch 'Marketing Meetings' is a misnomer.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?Normal designers in the Spokane area are paid a lot more. I know there are other people in other departments that are under-paid as well.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?Copywriting is stale and only in one voice for multiple partners and brands. Too formal for certain partners and brands. It's hard to work with the copywriter, as well as some marketing people. Other departments treat Marketing like we're inferior to them.
