It's the best organization I've worked for, as a freelancer, contractor, or full-time employee, since I began my career over 20 years ago.

Leaf Group, once praised for its comp, perks and benefits, is no longer relevant in this department, particularly in the wider media landscape. Other companies have more to offer its talented employees.

I really love working here and my coworkers are fantastic. My leaders have given me opportunities to grow and try new things and I've gained a lot of new skills that I'll be able to take with my later on in my career.

I've only worked at Livestrong.com for a couple of months, but I've found the environment to be very positive and everyone is very kind and helpful. It feels like people care about my wellbeing both during work and outside of work.

I love the Paid to Play incentive

The open vacation plan at Leaf Group is amazing, and managers actively encourage employees to take time off, and to pursue a work/life balance.

I really like having unlimited PTO and Paid-to-Play.

The unlimited PTO and paid-to-play perks are amazing. Taking time off is strongly encouraged here, especially in the last couple of years when we all need to take a mental health day from time to time.

I think the overall hiring and promo freezes really hold back talent and while the eventual hiring and compensation bumps are appreciated, the time spent waiting is not really accounted for and therefore feels like lost time.

I definitely look forward to chatting with my team, especially for brainstorming sessions. The mood is always relaxed and fun, and we even spend a little time just catching up. It's definitely a nice contrast to meetings that can be a bit more strict and stuffy.

My team works remotely, but we're all connected with technology, and we interact frequently to brainstorm, problem-solve, and innovate. The talent and creativity here is inspiring.

Everyone is very kind and helpful and willing to be flexible with assignments and if life situations come up.

Leaf Group is very inclusive and eager to help everyone feel comfortable and appreciated. Management leads with a can-do approach and is mindful of different learning styles and backgrounds. There's no back-stabbing or grand-standing here, just collaboration and positivity.

I love the flexibility and independence of the day-to-day work. Meetings are fast and efficient. Remote and in-office work is seamless.

I feel like part of a team and I feel like my team trusts me.

Accomplishing tangible goals is always nice. My manager and I set goals at the beginning of each month, and then we check on them the following month. It's always nice to have visible progress!

In the past two years, we've lost many perks that were once competitive. Annual RSUs, commuter benefits, free Friday lunches. Why were these not translated into WFH benefits like office equipment stipends, monthly Door Dash gift cards, etc.
