What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Transparency in goals / bonus metrics; Career and professional development opportunities; Accountability for upper management

Review from Legal Dept

Better pay, let every employee be completely remote, not having mandatory overtime for the majority of the year, investing in better employees instead of outsourcing to STI, more sick leave/vacation, stop giving then taking away perks (such as lunch, wellness week), listen to employees more

LegalZoom Leadership has displayed a pattern of hiring outside the company for key roles. It seems Leadership prefers that you have a background that includes working for Amazon, as opposed to actual understanding of LegalZoom's products, practices, and processes.

Review from Product Dept

Well first of all this isn't my aniversary. Secondly, one of your outgoing managers told me my contribution to this company was insignificant (maybe because his team lost a competition due to my contributions). Thirdly there is no acknowledgement of what an employee is good at, where they might do r

Review from Customer Support Dept

Employee wages do not reflect the current market & are not competitive enough to retain talent. Current Leadership shows a fundamental lack of understanding related to the products LegalZoom offers & processes necessary to create them. Compliance, fee management, and product quality suffer from this

Review from Product Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

My years of experience in this field, expertise, and the dedication to work deserves more than the amount I'm being compensated for.

Review from Admin Dept

Colleagues providing the same or lower quality of work are paid more; More opportunities to advance and grow professional skills

Review from Legal Dept

Definitely undervalue - the only way to feel better is if LegalZoom gave a fair wage. Every time employees bring up the fact that we're underpay LegalZoom just skirts the issue with "well we pay for your health insurance" and "working remote is a benefit" - a lot of employees are required in office.

Higher base pay with the new alignment of the sales organization. Technology had been a thorn in Salesforce side for some time. Maybe invest in higher qualified SF Administrators. When SF does not work LZ loses money and so do we but nothing gets adjusted (quotas) for the downtime of technology.

Review from Sales Dept

I do feel valued as an employee, but I am upset with some changes that have happened in the past year. Specifically confused as to why they took away our wellness week.

Review from Customer Support Dept

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

Not coworkers but management needs to do a better job with the quality of workers they hire. Seems like we hire a lot of people who either don't know how to work hard

Better communication and transparency at mid levels. We hear things at the corporate level from the C-staff, but all the intermediate levels are basically silent.

Review from Engineering Dept

If better training was provided. The current bonus pay system encourages certain (not all) coworkers to cherry-pick what orders they work to maximize their bonus pay and prevent rejections that will take away from bonus pay. This is not monitored so some of us are left to pick up the slack.

I do not feel like many are relatable and do not bring their authentic selves to work. It's as if work them and personal them are two completely different people.

Review from HR Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

better communication. and more communication.

More opportunities to grow / develop professional skills; Accountability for those not pulling their weight

Review from Legal Dept

Actually do what you say - we write OKRs, but ongoing reviews don't happen and they aren't used in performance reviews.

Review from Engineering Dept

It does not feel like LegalZoom cares about our unit - our work demands have always been excessive and are always increasing. This leads to a stressful work environment where we're always focus on productivity and can't partake in any workshops.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Interviews Reviews

presenting clear criteria for a job position, transparent payment

Review from IT Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

Pay / Accountability / Transparency / Opportunity

Review from Legal Dept

Again, more communication and transparency at the mid levels

Review from Engineering Dept

LegalZoom appears to be "Profits first" instead of people first. Production employees are forced to work excessive hours in office so LegalZoom can earn lots of money and not pass it on to their hardworking employees that moved the products/services.

300 characters is way too short to adequately explain. The short answer is that my responsibilities shifted in a way that I feel don't suit me particularly well, and now I'm tired constantly. I'm searching for a new position internally and externally.

Changes are inevitable part of life and i knew LZ had some changes but just in the last few months its been really difficult balancing work and home life, schedules etc..
