They are like your friend
Good communication skills and always willing to help
They are all nice people.
There willingness to help point one in the right direction when issues of personal situations may arise is helpful
It's not lip service, they really care about the employees, the customers, and our long-term success and not just shareholders (although we care about them too!
Use to be the work envioment
Vacation time and insurance program
The time off we get
It's average at best, maybe below average in many regions and industries.
Insurance and 401k are okay
There are many very professional people at LP who are striving to do their best every day. But there are also many who are too focused on turf building and creating red tape to justify their jobs. Also, many who have only worked here think this is the only way to get things done.
Our communications within our group and we support each other
The maintenance team is the only team there is. Everyone else is here for themselves and a paycheck.
They work hard, are very passionate yet frugal to a default. They frequently sacrifice for the best interests of our clients but can sometimes be petty or a little mean when overworked or stressed out. They work very closely like family which is both bad and good.
Everyone is willing to help at any time, even put in overtime hours just to help solve issues. Almost everyone is open minded and open to knew ideas or activities for the group.
We work together to solve problems
The company likes to say there is a culture, if there is I can't tell you what it is, HR brings it up frequently but they can't articulate it either. Our culture is to do your work and go home. We don't do things together, we don't have company picnics, team building or do anything together.
I work with very talented and highly professional people who get along most of the time.
My department & community within the company
Really the people, often management when they understand us they try to support us and are always open to hearing ideas and suggestions. Sometimes slow to act on them but they prefer to be methotical and cautious rather than rash.
It was very fast and easy
How easy it was at the time
The talk of advantages of advancement within the company & prospects of running the company if I assisted in a thriving company to the success. But I'm beginning to think that it may have only been a sales pitch?
The potential to learn new things
The people who interviewed and hired me, sadly they have all retired or moved on.
When I can simply do my job, please my customers, and produce great work without interference or woke nonsense getting in the way.
Freedom to do my work the way I want to do it, recognition that I have the skills and talent needed to do my job and don't require meddling or micromanagement.
The possibilities of my advancements
When I can see that I made an impact, changed a mind, or convinced management to act. Or had the opportunity to mentor and teach.
It's a pretty laid back environment. It never feels rushed or like theirs always a deadline to be met.
