Liquid Web's leadership team leans in to supporting diversity.

They lead by example rather than directing from the rear.
One of the most talented groups I have ever worked for.
Executive team is legitimately forward thinking trying to pivot LW into the "managed apps" space.
They truly care about you as a person. You are not just another employee.
Leadership needs to get off their high horses. Used to be good, with leaders talking to low level employees, now the firings are coming from people you've never even met, and the leaders sit back and count their money.
The entire management team needs a refresh, and perhaps the new hedge fund will make that happen after they figure out the crazy levels of ineptitude. The Peter Principal is at work at Liquid Web, for sure.
Public relations, in-lieu of providing actual leadership.
Since the buyout, management has been focused solely on profit, and has intentionally understaffed almost all departments.
I am well paid and have a substantial paid time off package.
It is more than fair and accessing benefits is simple and fast.
Very generous benefit package, option for no cost... in which the company actually pays you to take them because they put money in an HSA for you.

They keep laying people off and expecting the rest of the employees to pick up the slack with no increase in wages
Liquid Web is infamous for paying well under industry norms.
People leave or our positions are restructured and I'm suddenly expected to get two people's jobs done in the same timeframe.
Employees are paid less than market value due to the depressed economy in Mid-Michigan, leading to high turnover and poor customer outcomes.
The team is full of bright individuals. If only the executive team invested in the team instead of AI.
My coworkers are amazing and nice
They are passionate about our objectives.
Most of us are cynical dads/parents/aspirational so we have no problem covering each other when someone has to run home. Lots of camaraderie.
We work together as a family. We socialize outside of work.
Hire and adequately pay staff based on skills, not politics.
Though many of the best and brightest are leaving at an alarming rate, the rest of the team at LW is largely full of great folks.
The team itself. Our team is not perfect, nor is Liquid Web, however, our culture is good and we are always striving to be better!
I work remotely. It is really nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful weather sitting under a tree and working.
LW has a very positive culture and they are always trying to do better and more for their employees

The company does a lot of extra things they don't have to do... like yoga in the office, chair massages, wellness activities, lunch an learns, etc.

CHANGE THE LEADERSHIP TO PEOPLE WHO UNDERSATND PEOPLE
If we're not going to do fancy parties and free food, etc, at least give us some legitimate cash bonuses for meeting achievable goals. T-shirts and "LW Bucks" (for the swag store) do not count.
The understaffing of all departments has led to employees being overworked and morale being very poor.
The people at first were really nice until they were all laid off for no reason
This was years ago, but they just wanted to see that we understood basic linux administration and could take some direction.
It was challenging, but not because of the process. Rather because the nature of the role made it challenging. But the company handle the process very well.
I liked that is was based on multiple interviews with different department heads to see if I fit in with the LW culture
Review from HR Dept
Panel interview gave me a chance to meet people I'd work with and see how they interact with each other.

There aren't any Interviews reviews of Liquid Web yet.
Be the first to contribute a review.
Flexibility in how I solve problems.
There are opportunities to sit by myself and churn through work without interruption.
The people I work with
Being able to spend time with my coworkers is great. Also gotta love the free coffee, soda, and water
Review from HR Dept
Feeling like I make a difference, and I can earn opportunities to grow in the company
Review from HR Dept
The new management simply cares about short-term profitability more than customer experience. Bring on more people and pay fair market wages
The people, and the work is challenging.
Review from HR Dept
Internal communication, from leaders down, and between departments.
