Here at LM, we ensure goods and services pertaining to our office spaces and employees are procured from sustainable and eco-friendly/sustainability focused vendors whenever possible. We have gathered a list of multiple resources to help us achieve this goal (which we are constantly working towards everyday - we're not just checking a box that this has been done) and are researching more and more practices to create a sustainable business for LM. We look at sustainable goods and services for office supplies, swag, packaging, food & beverage, furniture, electronics, etc. LM prioritizes partnering with companies that place sustainability at the forefront of their business practices and understand that we can help make our world more sustainable for the future. There are many communities that are suffering from environmental effects at a higher rate than others, and we can help lessen that burden with eco-friendly resources and practices incorporated in every aspect of our business.
LogicMonitor relies heavily on the use of data centers to provide its services to its customers. While backend infrastructure energy usage requirements for LogicMonitor’s technology are higher than some industries due to the nature of our offering, LogicMonitor has partnered with two data center operators who are working toward making a positive environmental impact: AWS and Equinix. AWS joined the data center industry to create the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact (the “Pact”), an industry commitment to proactively lead the transition to a climate neutral economy. Equinix has been recognized as a leader in sustainability receiving an A- rating from CDP and the EPA’s 2020 Green Power Partner of the Year award.
LogicMonitor’s current and future green initiatives: Vista Climate Pledge, GHG emissions measurement, reduction and target goals to reduce CO2 emissions by 2050 for our global facilities (including our data centers); LM Green – a community group centered around eco-friendly education/resources/best practices we conduct in our offices and at home; and investing in organizations/services that focus on promoting a healthy and safe environment to help tackle issues such as climate change and environmental racism.
LM founded LM Cares as an initiative to give back to underserved communities. Each quarter, employees receive paid time off to give back to local organizations in LM hub regions (and beyond) with the focus on youth technology education and mentorship, underrepresented communities, food resources management & distribution and more. We donate funds to aid those in need at the most desperate times (Austin Winter Storms, Ukraine) as we know it's the right thing to do. LM has strong partnerships with Code2College, Foodbank, Boys & Girls Club, Sifted, Path and others that we nourish with our volunteer efforts so these nonprofits can thrive and help us build a better future.
