It was easy and to the point

The whole interview process is always nerve wrecking, however, with Lowe's it felt more like a personal conversation with a friend than anything else. The recruiter was always easy to talk to and answered my emails within a reasonable timeframe.

The up front questions of your knowledge - even thou you.ll never be in a paying position to use that knowledge

The first interviewer was stressed and clueless. No idea of geography of the area he was recruiting in. Seemed more like a telemarketer than HR. Once I got past the gate keeper - much more professional/positive experience.

Make it legitimate. In many cases, the preferred candidate has already been identified, rendering the interview process pretty much a pro-forma foregone conclusion.
