Mr. Michael J. Lerner serves as Chair of Life Sciences Practice at Lowenstein Sandler LLP. Mr. Lerner was employed at Lowenstein Sandler PC in the position of Member of the Corporate Department since November 2006. Mr. Lerner has over twenty years' experience providing legal counsel to the pharmaceutical, life science and healthcare industries with significant expertise in product acquisitions and divestitures, technology licensing, pharmaceutical sales and marketing practices, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, corporate compliance, employment law and regulatory matters affecting the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, Mr. Lerner served for six years as Vice President, Legal Affairs & Secretary, at Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, one of the Country's largest privately held pharmaceutical companies., where he was responsible for legal affairs, human resources, and corporate compliance. During his tenure at Reliant, Mr. Lerner led in the acquisition and/or divestiture of numerous pharmaceutical products totaling in excess of $650 million. Previously, Mr. Lerner spent seventeen years at the law firm of Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione PC, in Newark, New Jersey, serving as associate from 1983 to 1990, and partner from 1990 to 2000 in the Corporate and Finance Department. While at Gibbons, Mr. Lerner served as Chairman of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Practice generating in excess of $1 million in annual revenues.
