You can have great coworkers, but right now everyone is overworked with the expectation that this is what you should be doing. Working at a particularly busy store, upper management wants to nitpick about dress code, but won't or can't find the sympathy for their associates who bring in the money.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
They at least claim they want th customer to be have good service.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Resilient. My team is resilient even when upper management does NOTHING to remedy a problem.
What makes you most happy at work?
Good customers and good customer interaction. When I can help that customer out and fit them in a great pair of glasses.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
They want to schedule their associates near full time (39 hours a week), but won't offer benefits. Goals for sales like sun and multiples need to be adjusted and something that shows how the associate goes above and beyond.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Be more human. I know its a huge company, but they tend to have unrealistic standards, goals and procedures. They claim to want to have good customer service, but at the end of the day, its not about that its about $$$$. And if your numbers are down, you get "talked to" like a child.
