Lyft Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They work hard trying to make our job easier

Lyft execs do the following: Regular Q&As where execs respond to difficult questions, actioned employee engagement surveys, regularly communicate vision and share wins.

Resilient and continues to keep moving forward

Make my own hours. I get to meet people from all around the world

Review from Customer Support Dept

They speak about Lyfts values in every update, etc.

Review from HR Dept

That they are open to feedback and genuinely listen/take action

Review from HR Dept

The communication is awesome. They're pretty consistent with providing updates.

Review from HR Dept

The leadership team is doing a great job at communicating changes to the whole team and following up on action items.

Review from HR Dept

Lyft's leadership is transparent, available, and clear on the direction the company and the teams are going to achieve our overall mission.

Review from HR Dept

Communicate changes as best they can / even when there is little information for them to share yet

Review from HR Dept

Good communication structure and cascading relevant goals/priorities

Review from HR Dept

All our OKRs/goals are tied to our mission as a company.

Review from HR Dept

I see the amount of effort they make to improve employee's lives and retain talent. They listen to their direct reports about take action immediately if needed.

Review from Operations Dept

mission driven, focused, care about the communities we operate in

Review from HR Dept

I like their level of transparency. Also like that we are focusing on becoming a data driven organization.

Review from HR Dept

Written updates on the business in real time

Review from HR Dept

I like that they are finally sharing PPPs (I have been saying this for years). JZ is personable.

Review from HR Dept

Not sure what level is leadership team, if that includes just vps. I don't have access to them, don't know them other than what I see in all-hands. They seem to mostly be from Google.

Review from HR Dept

Our leaders are great visionaries.

Review from HR Dept

Transparency and communication, focus on customers.

Review from HR Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Have a phone number for their employees with real people who can help solve issues

Actual phone numbers and actual people who can help solve issues for their employees

Better human resource. Or an active one at that.

Tell the truth. Care about the employees.

Review from Operations Dept

I was an asset to them, not a school child.

A real life cost analysis for being a lyft driver.

Really needs to change everything

At least match pay of other similar companies.

They need to pay a living wage to their drivers

Review from Operations Dept

They need to spend more time listening to our needs as recruiters instead of trying to have us be yes people. I know for a fact their is a culture here where women are not as respected as their male counterparts when the women are more skilled or in higher roles.

Review from HR Dept

I feel when I bring up concerns, I don't get heard. I also think being in a remote office, we don't get heard, and we also don't get considered when a lot of planning is done. I also think, we don't fully plan with the employees in consideration.

Review from HR Dept

Accountability and visibility. I have been at a variety of meetings where the slido questions are continually addressed at the surface level when it is clear that the team is just looking for someone to acknowledge that right now is a tough time given the benefit cuts, stock price, and attrition.

Review from HR Dept

We aren't thinking of big picture strategy and instead . just cutting costs and doing things that don't make it appear like they are being thoughtful. more reactionary vs proactive.

Review from HR Dept

Stop overworking people; it compromises the culture.

Review from Operations Dept

promoting people within the company that have know the company and can accurately answer questions and help others

Review from Customer Support Dept

Communication and transparency to their middle managers.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Strategy in medium term. Empowering employees. Removing approval layers.
