Ms. Elisa D. C. Garcia has been the Chief Legal Officer of Macy's, Inc. since September 7, 2016 and serves as its Secretary. Ms. Garcia served as the Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President of Office Depot International (UK) Limited since December 2013 and served as its General Counsel and Secretary. Ms. Garcia served as the Chief Legal Officer of Office Depot, Inc. from December 2013 to August 17, 2016 and served as its Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary from July 16, 2007 to August 17, 2016. She served as a General Counsel of Office Depot, Inc. from July 16, 2007 to December 2013. Ms. Garcia was responsible for managing legal, regulatory, compliance and government affairs matters for Office Depot worldwide as well as the loss prevention function. She served as Chief Legal Officer of Office Depot B.V. since 2013 and served as its Executive Vice President since 2007. She has been an attorney for over 20 years. She served as Corporate Counsel for GAF Corporation. She served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Dominos Pizza Inc. since April 2000 and Secretary since May 2000. She has 16 years of broad-ranging experience as a corporate general counsel for major consumer-facing companies. She has been an Independent Director of Dollarama Inc. since February 18, 2015. She serves on the Boards of the America Arbitration Association. She also serves on the Boards of the American Arbitration Association, the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession, the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and acts as an Advisory Board member for the Corporate Pro Bono Institute. She served as a Director of OfficeMax Australia Limited since January 20, 2014 until August 17, 2016. She served as Latin American Regional Counsel of Philip Morris International Inc.'s northern Latin America region from 1998 to April 2000. Prior to that, she served as an Assistant Regional Counsel of Latin America since 1994. She began her legal career as a corporate associate with Willkie, Farr & Gallagher in New York. Her memberships include the Association of Corporate Counsels and the National Hispanic Society of MBAs. Ms. Garcia is a Law Degree of the St. John's University School of Law in New York and also received a joint BA/MS degree in Political Science and Management and Policy Sciences from W. Averell Harriman College, State University of New York at Stony Brook. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
